about

"What do you call a rancorous two-piece doom metal band from Russia that's so heavy they'll break your bones with the unrelenting force of their fuzz? Well you can probably call them a lot of things - in fact you might already know them as Spitter or Hexendrone or Nadsad - but today they're using the name Omega Void as they unleash their new album "To The Void". This one brings an onslaught of harsh cosmic radiation in the form of crackling, distorted guitar, crashing drums, and vocals shouted out across the expanse between stars. The album has deep space themes all over the place, but perhaps the most appropriate is the second track "Meteor Rain" - that is the perfect descriptor for the drums throughout the whole thing, like a giant cluster of extraterrestrial rocks smashing into the dirt from on high like an otherworldly, unrepentant force of nature. On top of that the riffs churn and twist to unload a titanic fistful of roaring, rumbling fuzz excavated from the bleak depths - enough to bury you and make the ground shake as it falls to the earth. Even if these tunes don't get you off of the planet, they'll at least get you out of your mind and send you on a cosmic head trip taking a rough ride through the abyss - good luck making it back in one piece! Great for fans of harsh, hard, and/or nasty fuzz - and the louder you can play it, the better!" -Brandon
